Thursday morning Pilates is one of the highlights of my week. It has helped tremendously in building strength and has made me a stronger and more confident runner. Genuinely lovely person with lots of pearls of wisdom.

Greta R

"I've attended the Otterbourne Yoga festival hosted by Lucy and Pete and it was such a fabulous day.  Lovely and friendly teachers, I felt really comfortable and cared for. Loved all various types of yoga to try on and they did it all to raise money for charity which made me appreciate this event even more. Thank you and I will definitely be around for your classes and other events!"

Bel Kenney

“I joined Pete's class 3 years ago with a very mixed mind, so i thought i would have a trial lesson. Well i haven't looked back.I enjoy my Saturday class so much. Pete is a great teacher, patient with his students and explains techniques throughly and above all makes it a fun class too!"

Cheryl S

"Pete is a wonderful enthusiastic teacher. I started yoga as a beginner 3 years ago. He is patient, kind and explains why and how each pose benefits us."

Our Story

The tale of Lucy and Pete Dewbury is one of resilience, discovery, and transformation. Married for 24 years with four children - Holly, Chloe, Roo, and Eloise.

Lucy's introduction to yoga came in 2002, following the birth of her daughter Holly. Initially seeking to shed the baby weight, she soon realised that yoga offered much more than just physical benefits. In a period of life filled with stress and sleepless nights, yoga became her refuge, providing a sense of grounding and calm. Having suffered a fractured pelvis in a riding accident in 1998 and diagnosed with degenerative disc issues in 2004 after Chloe's birth, Lucy embarked on a quest to find tools that could aid her recovery and restore harmony to her body.

Pete's own yoga journey began after a debilitating back injury, a result of his work as a full-time gardener. Initially skeptical, he eventually yielded to Lucy's insistence that yoga was not just for women. Since then, Pete has embraced all aspects of the practice, finding solace in its challenging physicality and delving deep into its rich traditions and philosophies.

Together, the Dewbury's boast over 5000 teaching hours and more than 1500 hours of teacher trainings, ensuring that they have a comprehensive understanding of yoga from every angle. Their story is a testament to the transformative power of yoga and the endless possibilities it offers for healing and growth.
